ON THE COVER

At Edible Omaha, we love making connections, to our food and to each other. On a chilly day in March, we paired recipe developer, food blogger and photographer Janelle Shank and with Angela Garbacz, owner and creative director of Goldenrod Pastries, together at the Josyln Art Museum to collaborate on Edible Omaha’s first commissioned cover.

Janelle is a culinary school graduate who bakes for family and friends, pouring much love and passion into each creation. You can find her at BakesInSlippers.com.

Angela is always trying to make cake more delicious and beautiful at Goldenrod Pastries, where they create handmade pastries with a strong aesthetic impact. Goldenrod caters to alternative diets and sources local products when possible and is located at 3947 South 48th Street in Lincoln.
We hope you enjoy the results as much as we enjoyed the process and eating the cake.
